I don’t think that anyone would argue that we are currently going through the hardest times in the history of our society!
The main institution of the human race and by far the most important value in our hispanic community is family. Although it may be hard for any parent to accept, regardless of socio economic status, the family’s main responsibility of providing children with a strong sense of self love, self confidence and self security is almost non-existent these days.
Families inability to lovingly communicate and enjoy each other, specially once children become teenagers has become normal. Most parents are so caught up in holding on to things and dealing with their own insecurities, that most children are left to interpret life through friends, unsupervised TV and the internet. Although everyone knows that whether children are in private or public schools, they are not receiving a well balanced education and consequently will struggle once they reach a certain point… most parents don’t know what to do or they are in complete denial about it.
Divorce, domestic violence, drugs and alcohol related problems are just some of the other problems adding fuel to this out of control epidemic. We can no longer ignore that our younger generations are very upset with what is going on because they are acting out in ways that we have never expected.
If for any reason you believe your family is the exception, and some of us do, the fact that at one point or another our children will socialize with each other, should make everyone of us think twice about our need to come together to deal with this epidemic. Some of us know, more clearly than others, what pier pressure can do to a person, even to the most grounded young adults.
On top of all this we have the number one topic in our country, the economy; most people are still trying to understand how the richest nation in the world is even going through something like this, yet regardless in one way or another everyone is paying the consequences. Let’s face it, in order to successfully begin, maintain and grow your own business these days, we need to tap into a completely new business model with a greater understanding of Life Principles.
Global warming is another issue we are faced with rectifying the damage already done and preventing any further. If you have some level of awareness because you care about the future of our children, animals and nature, by now you have realized that changes have to be made in every aspect of our lives. Record temperatures in every season and natural disasters all over the world are obvious indications that the situation is in a state of urgency now. The only thing natural about all these disasters is the name. The mathematical and scientific explanation for why things keep deteriorating is that there are just too many people in this world and we are depleting the natural resources and disturbing the harmony of every eco system left at a faster rate than ever before.
Every where we look there is work to be done. Things seem so overwhelming, that the fear of what to do about it could be bigger than the problems themselves. But the problem is not the education system, the economy or global warming. The problem is that we are not living to our fullest potential and unfortunately that is what we are teaching our children.
This brings me to why I am writing this post and why I am talking about this situation. There is no doubt that the last two years have given all of us an opportunity to re-evaluate what’s most important and for some of us it was definitely a wake up call. The question is this, “Do we continue to do the same things we have been doing and looking out for ourselves? Or do we change the way we think and recognize that collaboration is our greatest hope?
As experts, best selling author and leaders in the field of Self Empowerment for more than 20 years the decision to dedicate our lives to inspiring and empowering other families was unanimous. At the end of last year we officially received the articles of incorporation for the Celebrando Vida Foundation as a non-profit organization strictly dedicated to help other families reach a greater understanding of how to use our self conscious nature to live to our fullest potential.
As a father and hispanic entrepreneur I realized that although there is nothing more important to us than our families, not everyone has the preparation and ability to stop everything they are doing to deal with this urgent epidemic. After helping thousands of clients for more that 20 years we have a thorough understanding of how to take immediate action. Due to the magnitude of this situation we desperately need business owners and families to come together to create a revolutionary alliance of mutual support for each other and the planet!
We must utilize all our resources and the power of all media to get the information out to families of all socio-economic status immediately. We must take a bold stand by committing to higher standards, reconnecting to life principles and Recycling Our Human Potential as families to live to our fullest potential. It is the responsibility of every hispanic leader in this country to show the rest of the world that we know how to collaborate with each other and that for us families come first!
Extreme conditions require extreme actions! The situation is urgent and we all need to take action now! We need to help our families to move away from the fear as quick as possible and allocate a tremendous amount of effort into the understanding of how and where we are going to make radical changes. I have no doubt that the heart desire of every parent is to see their children have a happy, healthy, successful life. In this case, we need to dig deep into our souls and understand that we are not betraying our heritage by improving the way we live our lives. It is actually the opposite because it was our ancestors that gave us the intuitive passion to fight for the wellbeing of our families. Since times are different, we need to use the power of collaboration to utilize our resources and take advantage of all the new discoveries that will allow us to make changes collectively and therefore this transformation will come from attraction rather than promotion.

If our family can travel the nation for over 14 months in an RV with two small children and seven animals like we did last year, I am pretty sure you can understand why we all expect you to do your part. It is time that Hispanics set our differences aside and come together to celebrate our similarities! The future of our children is our greatest motivation. Just because it hasn’t been done before, doesn’t mean that we can not do it now!
